Intercontinental Nairobi Storms Mbagathi Primary with Goodies

Last week Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi staff visited Mbagathi Primary School in Nairobi’s Ngumo estate.  Led by the Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) Director for Sub Saharan Africa Mr. Karl Hala, the staff among them the jovial Public Relations Officer Kavi Mwendwa, Regional Sales Director Daniel Ebo – and his assistant Ms Lucy Macridis - among many employees toured the school to the unmistakable delight of both the teachers and pupils.

Adorned in white branded T-shirts, the group, which numbered to the range of 20 stuck out in a clear contrast among the green uniformed pupils as they toured the crammed school.

For a moment, the exuberant pupils sprung into intense listenership as Karl Hala attempted his teaching techniques on a Class Two chalkboard. Kavi Mwendwa and Daniel Ebo with their associates would only wait for their GM’s lecture to subside and escort him to plant a tree seedling on the school compound as a mark of his visit.

The visit was, all the same, a good course as intercontinental Hotel was ensuring true its responsible citizenship role by making worthwhile donations and being part of a noble course for any corporate organization in the country.

The Hotel painted the school’s classrooms besides donating books and other writing materials valued over Ksh 50,000.This was of course met with gratitude that saw the children perform before the IC Nairobi team. Karl Hala, who addressed the happy children after the shot but busy tour in the scorching sun, wouldn’t help much but meet the mob of the young school children.
